News about the SpamDigester project

  • 2007-05-02: Version 1.0 is out! The namespace issue was resolved - the new name for iLib is pdbo: check out the code at the Sourceforge project page. The digester code is on the Spamdigester project page on Sourceforge.
  • 2006-10-30: Ok, Version 1.0 is *almost* out... We're resolving a namespace conflict with our iLib database abstraction library and porting the Digester to the new namespace (rewriting function calls and all that fun stuff). We'll have it done in the next few days.
  • 2006-10-14: Version 1.0 is out!!! We've released RPMS of the SpamDigester in 2 parts: the Digester and the Collector. The collector is the part that runs on the Mailserver and diverts Spam tagged messages to the Digester. The Digester can run on the same machine or not, and holds the diverted messages, generated the Digest messages, and takes care of the administrative functions (database pruning etc. etc.)
  • 2006-10-10: The SpamDigester is almost ready for it's initial release. We're finishing up the packaging of the software and writing an installer script that will be invoked after the RPM is installed.
  • 2006-10-02: We're hammering away at bugs and adding features to the digester to make it play nice with the MySQL Whitelist in SpamAssassin. We're also getting ready to tie into the Bayes system for learning Hams and Spams.
